March in Norfolk welcomes the beginning of Spring, the return of daffodils and of course Easter celebrations!

Mothers Day in Norfolk

Kicking off March is Mother Day. Celebrated across the UK on March 9th, there are a number of events taking place across Norfolk for you to enjoy with your Mum, Gran, Guardian or anyone else that you wish to. Standing out for us is the Mother Day Boat Trip on the Norfolk Broads with a glass of wine to enjoy too. The boat trip will be a nature lovers dream. Alternatively, you can treat your Mum to a classical feast from the London Mozart Players. The group will be playing at St Peters Church, Sheringham. Tickets are on sale now and promise to provide beautiful music for all.

Easter in Norfolk

The end of March sees the Easter celebrations begin, with Good Friday falling on 30th March, and Easter Sunday taking us into April on 1st April.

Artistic Flair in Norfolk

The major attraction in March is the Damien First Exhibition at Houghton Hall. The infamous artist will be showcasing a series of new paintings titled ‘Colour Space’ in the state rooms at Houghton Hall. Alongside these new paintings, a number of his most famous sculptures throughout the 18th Century Home and Gardens.

The exhibition will start 25th March and will continue until 15th July 2018. The whole installation will also be considered as part of the visual arts programme of Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2018.

The Pavilion Theatre will be showing the classic show ‘Oliver!’ In March 2018 over the weekend beginning Friday 2nd March. This show is by the Stage Door Youth Theatre and is a portrayal of the classic Oliver Twist story. For those who are a fan of theatre, we recommend popping along to see the wonderful actors at work.

Food & Drink in Norfolk

March sees the first ever Gin Festival come to King’s Lynn. Kings Lynn and District Round Table No. 54 are proud to be bring the first ever festival of its kind to the town. The Gin Festival takes place from Friday 9th March to Saturday 10th March 2018. There will be live music and entertainment and the opportunity to meet the distillers. Fellow gin lovers will be attending the event for your chance to share your love of the spirit. The bars will operate on a ticket system instead of taking cash payments. The profits from the event will be donated to local charities in and around King’s Lynn.

The incredible Comedian, Sarah Millican will be live in Norwich this March, with a show for her latest set. The star is known for her tv appearances, books and stand up comedy so its sure to be a great night. She will be at Norwich Theatre Royal on Sunday 18th March 2018.

Cadbury Easter egg Hunt at Fairhaven Woodland & Water Garden, Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April 2018. There is also one at Oxburgh Hall on the same days. One for the children is the Cadburys Easter egg Hunt. With free home and garden tours of Oxburgh Hall you’re sure to have a wonderful family filled day.
